Parkland Library’s Fall Storytime 2016

September 6 - October 20 


Note: There will be no classes the week of
October 10th.

 Registration is required to attend storytime.

Parkland Library Fall 2016 Schedule

Books and Babies
Wednesday OR Thursday 10:00 .a.m

(9-23 months with favorite adult)
This is an early literacy class that creates sound and print awareness and their relationship through the use of toys, puzzles and books. We conclude with stories, songs and finger plays. Class will be held in the library meeting room. Only the registered age-appropriate child and his/her adult are permitted to attend. 


Toddler Tales 
Wednesday OR Thursday 11:00 a.m.
(24mos. - 3 1/2 with favorite adult)

This early literacy class establishes the relationship between letters and sounds, sign identification, and provides early phonemic awareness. This is accomplished through stories, music, rhymes, and flannel boards. This class will be held in the library meeting room.  Only the registered age-appropriate child and his/her adult are permitted to attend.                  



Preschool Storytime 
Tuesday 11:30 a.m. OR Wednesday 3:30 p.m. OR Thursday 3:30 p.m.

(3-5 year olds unaccompanied by adult)
Stories, songs, finger plays, flannel boards and craft based on a new theme each week.  Children enter the classroom alone but accompanying adults must remain in the library.


Rookie Readers


Thursday 3:30pm 


(Kindergarten - Second Grade)
This class combines stories, poems and crafts to make a fun library experience. This class will be held in the library meeting room. It encourages entertaining, independent reading.  Children enter the classroom alone but accompanying adults must remain in the library.
