The City of Parkland is proud to offer classes and trips for people of all walks of life. Each month a trip and a class or program are offered. The classes are free of charge and for Parkland residents aged 62 and over. Advance registration is required to enter the lottery for all trips and details on each trip including age and residency requirements are below.
It is important to note that all trips require walking. This is a great opportunity to get out there, be more physical as well as social in a healthy and fun environment.
To register for a senior program or class, proof of residency and age (ie: driver license or other valid photo ID) in addition to a completed application must be on file with Parks and Recreation. On registration weekends please call (954) 757-4190 anytime after 5:00 p.m. on Friday through 9:00 a.m. on Monday and leave a clear message stating your name(s), best telephone number to confirm your status and whether you are interested in being entered into the lottery for the trip, sign up for the monthly class, or both. Spouses and significant others can call in for each other, however, friends need to call in on their own. Due to the popularity and limited space, all trip participants are chosen by a random lottery.
