City Advisory Boards

Call for Board Members
The City of Parkland’s Charter is your City Constitution. The Charter provides for the appointment of a Charter Review Board which convenes every six years and will reconvene in May.
Made up of seven members and two alternates, the Board is authorized and empowered to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the Charter and make recommendations to help determine how the City should function to best meet the needs of the people. Recommendations are then voted on by the electorate in November 2018.
If you would like to be considered for appointment, you must be a resident of Parkland and be able to attend regular monthly meetings. Please submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office no later than April 14, 2017. The Board will meet monthly through May 2018.

About the City of Parkland Advisory Boards

The City makes appointments to five Advisory Boards. A City Advisory Board typically consists of five to nine citizens interested in volunteering their time and expertise to provide assistance and/or recommendations to the City Commission.  Advisory Board participation is an excellent way for Parkland residents to offer advice to the City Commission and the City Administration on municipal policies and issues.
