Date: Saturday, October 21 - Thursday, October 26
Time: 9:00AM to 5:00PM (Weekends); 5:00PM to 7:30PM (Weekdays)

Location: Equestrian Center (8350 Ranch Road)

The Parkland Pumpkin Patch will be set up at the Equestrian Center starting Saturday, October 21st. We will have a petting zoo, photo ops, face painting, and community games for families to enjoy. Come out and be the first to pick out the perfect pumpkin. Supplies are limited and prices may vary.

CREATIVE SCARECROW CONTEST

Here is how you can participate:

  • Pick up a free frame starting on October 3rd at one of the following locations: 
    1. P-REC: 10559 Trails End, Parkland, FL 33076
    2. Quigley Tennis Center: 7901 Parkside Drive, Parkland, FL 33067
  • Scarecrows must be durable and able to withstand various outdoor conditions and elements such as sun, wind, and rain.
  • Creatively dress your scarecrow with durable materials. Please remember that our Pumpkin Patch is a family - friendly event so keep your creations family-friendly. All decorations must be firmly attached to your scarecrow. Scarecrows must be able to be moved from location to location in one piece and should not contain exterior props that will need to be placed separately. If props are not secured, they are at risk of not being on display. No flames, or perishable items.  Scarecrows are approximately 5’ and should not exceed 6’. 
  • Bring your completed scarecrow directly to The Equestrian Center at Temple Park, Thursday October 19th from 9:00am-10:00am or 5:00pm-6:00pm for install. 
  • All scarecrows will be displayed in our Pumpkin Patch from October 21st to October 26th
  • Entries will be judged on originality, quality, and design. Winners will be announced at our Halloween Festival on October 27th, Amphitheatre – Pine Trails Park. 
  • You may pick up your scarecrow on Thursday, October 26th at 7:00 pm. The City of Parkland is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
