Thank you for tuning in to our weekly Cyber Senior Resources. At the beginning of each week, we will post one educational article as well as a virtual activity for you to participate in. Enjoy!
The City of Parkland is proud to provide a variety of classes for the seniors in our community. Each month there will be a number of different classes or programs that are offered. The classes are free of charge and for Parkland residents aged 62 and over. Advance registration is required to enter the lottery for all classes and programs.
To register for a senior program or class, proof of residency and age (ie: driver license or other valid photo ID) in addition to a completed application must be on file with Parks and Recreation. On registration weekends please call (954) 757-4190 anytime after 5:00 p.m. on Friday through 9:00 a.m. on Monday and leave a clear message stating your name(s), best telephone number to confirm your status and whether you are interested in being entered into the lottery for that months class or program. Spouses and significant others can call in for each other, however, friends need to call in on their own. Due to the popularity and limited space, all participants are chosen by a random lottery.
