Brian D. Archer Wilderness Preserve at Parkside Trailhead
On June 5, 2016 the Wildlife Preserve at Parkside Trails Head was dedicated in the name of Brian D. Archer, a former Director of Public Works for the City of Parkland (City) who passed away approximately one year earlier. This passive park features a boardwalk through a tranquil preserve ideal for those who appreciate nature. Brian Archer worked for the City for nearly 25 years and played a key role in the early days of establishing Parkland's tree canopy. This park is a fitting remembrance for him and a serene escape for anyone who appreciates nature.
