Operations Division
Responsibilities
The Operations Division is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure and City owned facilities and equipment. The Division is divided into six sections including:
- Facilities Management
- Parks Maintenance
- Streets/Stormwater
- Fleet Management
- Contracts Management
- Materials Control
Facilities Management
The Facilities Maintenance Section is responsible for all repairs to City-owned facilities including performing plumbing and electrical repairs, HVAC maintenance, janitorial services and general building maintenance. This division is responsible for:
- Maintaining a proper work environment for City employees
- Maintaining safe and pleasant facilities for the general public
- Preserving the City’s physical building assets
Parks Maintenance
The Parks Maintenance Section is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all City-owned park facilities, grounds, and structures including, but not limited to:
- Ball Fields & Playground Equipment
- Park Common Areas & Landscaping
- Dugouts, Pavilions & Equestrian Facilities
- Irrigation & Lightning Detection Systems
- Tennis & Basketball Courts
Streets/Stormwater
The Streets and Stormwater Section is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of all public rights-of-way and storm drainage facilities including, but not limited to:
- Canal & Ditch Maintenance
- Catch Basins & Swales
- Curbing & Sidewalk Maintenance & Repair
- Roadway Maintenance and Repair
- Right-of-Way Landscape & Irrigation Maintenance
Fleet Management
The Fleet Maintenance Section is responsible for the coordination of all fleet maintenance and repair operations for all City owned vehicles, trucks, and light & heavy equipment.
